Mast in the Mist (Tribute to Uncharted Waters II)
This is my entry for the OST Composing Jam Pastime II and it has been picked as the top 10 best track from the jam to be included in the official OST Composing Jam Pastime II Spotify album. I composed this orchestral version of Mast in the Mist as a tribute to the beautiful original piano composition by Yoko Kanno. The orchestral piece is composed to work around the original piano soundtrack and therefore it doesn't feature the piano instrument itself. There is some magical thing that happened, however, if you ever decide to play both this orchestral version and the original piano composition together (youtu.be/Y_LfQUu7m6o) at the same time. Or perhaps, if you know how to play the piano piece yourself and let this orchestra support you from the background. Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on the composition.more

A Little Adventure
— About The Song — I composed this piece as a tribute to all the amazing Adventure/RPG games that had filled my childhood with so much joy. The music for these games, Legend of Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, and Ni No Kuni, is colourful and imaginative. This composition imagined a little young adventurer venturing out from his peaceful village to find the wonders of the world, only to be chased into a menacing dark cave, to fight a mighty dragon that dwelled in it, to be mortally wounded, yet courageously survived and recovered, to emerge victoriously, and finally to return to the village and to be heralded as a hero. — Thank You — Thank you for listening! Today Will Be Better
I made this song for my wife, who had shown strength and grace in the face of her adversities last year. My wish is for the song to serve as a reminder that no matter what, when, or where, she will always have my support and strength. The music is done using Logic Pro, my favourite DAW. As I wrote the lyrics with my limited knowledge of the Japanese language, a number of friends had lent a hand correcting and improving some parts of it, I’m forever grateful for them. The vocal itself is sung by a software called Synthesizer V using Kohaku Rika’s voice bank, which has very nice texture. I hope you enjoy the song as much as I have written it. Thank you for listening! Please leave your feedback in the comments section and don’t forget to smash Like!more
